"Totally Yours" Music Video Honors the Life of John Paul the Great

2nd music video from "Our Priests" CD inspires memories of gratitude

Philadelphia, PA -- In celebration of the life of His Holiness, Pope John Paul II, and in harmony with the spirit of the Year of the Priest, Come Alive Communications, Inc. has released a second music video from the CD "Our Priests," to air on the Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN), and soon available as free streaming video on the Archdiocese of Boston's CatholicTV.com.

The "Totally Yours" music video tribute was officially released on Sunday, March 14th to His Eminence Cardinal Justin Rigali (Archdiocese of Philadelphia) on the set of the Holy Mass, at the studios of ABC-affiliate WPVI in Philadelphia. Cardinal Rigali and members of the TV Mass Choir directed by Annette DiMedio were taping the Holy Mass for Easter Morning and Divine Mercy Sunday. Choir members included "Our Priests" producers and singers.

In a February 2010 Testimonial, Cardinal Rigali recognized the efforts on the "Our Priests" CD and DVD projects as a "worthy musical contribution to the global celebration of the Year of the Priest." Cardinal Rigali also noted, "I draw your attention to [the song] 'Totally Yours,' a musical tribute to His Holiness Pope John Paul II, who during his pontificate did so much to form priests in the image of the Good Shepherd."

The "Totally Yours" video touchingly honors the life of the departed Pontiff to the backdrop of a delightfully bittersweet melody written on the day of the Holy Father's death by singer/songwriter Joseph Lee Hooker. The video was released in anticipation of the upcoming beatification of John Paul the Great.

The song was inspired by a visit to the Blessed Sacrament at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in the author's hometown of West Grove, PA (Archdiocese of Philadelphia), which providentially offers Perpetual Adoration. After praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet for the beloved John Paul II, tears of joy and gratitude flowed freely, followed by words of tribute and a melody inspired by the motto of his papacy, "Totus Tuus."

The upbeat video and song of gratitude inspire memories of a joyful pontiff, truly alive and truly in love with the people he served. The goal was to write a song that the departed pontiff himself might enjoy, that would fill the faithful with positive memories of the gift of his life in recalling John Paul II's own witty remark, "I have a sweet tooth for song and music. This is my Polish sin."
